Data Collection Tools, Data Collection Techniques and Context of Data
Common issues with data collection tools and data collection techniques The most common techniques/Tools your current data source use for collecting data on your pharmaceutical or medical device products have issues and do not accurately capture needed details we have discussed.
Most other data sources pull/collect data using Search engines and AIs. There are issues seen with the search engine and AI Tools that are used to pull data that are searching for diagnosis verbiage or treatment verbiage.
First, some of the “cool” technology just isn’t that reliable
Additionally, we have all tried to search for topics using many of the common search engines and search tools that are available today. We have all encountered those searches that did not give us the results we were really looking for. If we are not satisfied with search results, we know to alter our search . We repeat this process until we find the result we are looking for- sometimes, this can take many searches. We are all familiar with this.
Critical question: how does a word or phrase search engine or an AI know the result it produced is not the result we are looking for and then to proceed and to alter the search ?

Context –Another critical component necessary for accurate diagnostic details and accurate evaluation of those effects on treatments is understanding Context. Only after we understanding these details of context, can we attain deeper insights that enable us to accurately determine effectiveness of treatments (pharmaceutical and medical device products).
All other data sources Pull data from individually typed chart notes or individually created/ “customized” templates. These types of notes and templates not only add many unaccounted for variables, and lack structure for your data, as we have discussed previously, but also have the additional downside that determining context from them, becomes a major challenge. Yet, understanding context is of critical importance when evaluating the clinical data to determine effectiveness of pharmaceutical and medical devices.
Another pitfall to using systems that are search engines and AIs - Most Data collection tools and applications search for key words or AIs focus on single words or phrases that can lose the context of the your product’s data. The context of each medical condition must be maintained for accurate evaluation of medical/clinical data that determines effectiveness of your company’s products.
All other data companies/sources are in essence pulling data from a large pile, making it extremely difficult, if not impossible for them to maintain and appreciate context.
