Clean, Complete, Highest Quality Clinical Data
In contrast to Starwriter data, there are many issues/ flaws in the data that most pharma + medical device companies are acquiring from the biggest and most common medical data sources today- please reference article from PM online:

Let's start with the top 2 most common issues listed in the graph above:
Data completeness and data quality.
For Starwriter data, using its Patented process - these are never an issue. However, for all other data sources - these are a major concern. as seen by the data in the graph above.
Let's delve in and take a closer look, using examples, as to why these are issues for other data sources.
Issues with claims based data
Claims based data ( data based on ICD, CPT or HCPCS codes) is another area with numerous critical flaws. The critical questions for pharmaceutical or medical device companies whose current data sources use and sell them claims based data:
1.What is the CPT code for your drug or medical device product ? Answer – there isn’t one
2.What is the HCPCS code for your drug 0r medical device product ? Answer – there isn’t one
OR, if you are a medical device company and there is a HCPCS code for your product – it is not specific to Your Company’s product. Example: there is no code that differentiates internal fixators/ screws. There is no differentiation between an AO Screw or a DePuy Synthes/J&J screw or an In2Bones Screw ! ( this holds true for all medical devices !)
So, if your current data source provides your company with claims based data ( this is most Insurance companies and their Derivatives) – the claims based data has little to no value to your company to assist with evaluating the effectiveness of your products.
And for medical device companies, you could be getting data on a Competitor’s product. Please check out video below for details.
